I have a set of six Paradigm Reference speakers: three Active/450-LRs, two Active/450-ADPs, and one Servo-15 subwoofer. They are in mint condition and were used only once for five days at a trade show. They were purchased in 2000. Q: How can I find out what my used speakers are worth?

Jason Mash

A: Unfortunately, determining the value of used audio equipment is not as easy as, say, determining the value of a used car. There's no standard bluebook to look to gauge an approximate value for each product. The best thing to use is actually the abundance of Internet "selling" sites -- eBay and Audiogon especially -- where you can search for current and past sales of the products you have. You may or may not see the ending sale price, but you can get an idea of what other people tried to sell the same product for, and you can usually tell if the product sold or not.
